Alexander Sundich - Managing Director

Alexander has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry. Prior joining Mariner in August 2006, Alexander worked at Record Investments Limited, an ASX listed company that invested in a diversified portfolio of structured finance transactions, including mortgage securitisation transactions in Australia. He joined Record Investments as the Chief Financial Officer in February 2003. In March 2006 he was appointed Interim Chief Executive Officer, pending the merger of the company with Allco Finance Group.

Prior to joining Record Investments, Alexander was an investment banker, primarily involved in providing advice to corporate clients in a variety of industries on merger and acquisition transactions and debt and equity capital raisings. From April 2001 to December 2002, Alexander was an Executive Director with Goldman Sachs & Co in the Sydney office of that firm. From 1990 to 2001, Alexander worked at Credit Suisse First Boston. He worked in the Sydney office of that firm, except for the period from 1993 to 1999 when he was transferred to their New York office.

Prior to his investment banking career, Alexander qualified as a chartered accountant with Price Waterhouse & Co in their Sydney office.

In addition to his role at Mariner Financial, Alexander is a Non-executive Director of Ellex Medical Lasers Limited, an ASX listed manufacturer of medical equipment.

Jennifer Cowan
Jennifer joined Mariner in 2006. She has over 15 years broad financial services experience having worked in the stockbroking, funds management and corporate advisory industries.  Prior to joining Mariner, Jennifer held an equity analyst position at boutique funds manager, Hunter Hall.  From 2002 to 2005 she was a small cap industrial analyst at Shaw Stockbroking.  From 1998 to 2002 Jennifer worked in the Sydney office of Ernst & Young Corporate Finance, primarily within the Mergers & Acquisitions team.  Prior to this time Jennifer held a number of roles at NRMA Investment Management.
