Sale of the management rights to the Mariner Mortgage Trust
At a unit holders’ meeting held on Thursday, 22 January, unit holders voted in favour of the resolutions to sell the management rights of the Mariner Mortgage Trust and the Mariner Wholesale Mortgage Trust to Balmain NB Corporation Limited (Balmain).
On 9 January 2009 Balmain became the investment manager of the trust. They are currently applying for their license and when this has been received, Mariner Securities will retire as the responsible entity, and will be replaced by Balmain.
