Bill Ireland - Executive Chairman
Bill has a background in stockbroking and property. He worked with various Australian broking houses during the 1970s and moved into property in the early 1980s, before establishing the financial services group Challenger International in 1986. As Managing Director of that company, he was instrumental in developing the foundations of the group, which listed on the Australian Stock Exchange in October 1987. Bill stepped out of Challenger in 2003 and established the Mariner Financial group. He is the Managing Director of Mariner Financial Limited and became Chairman in May 2006.

The Hon. Alan Stockdale - Non-executive Director
LLB, BA, (University of Melbourne)
Alan has a broad range of private sector experience and a distinguished record of government service. He is currently Chairman of Symex Holdings Ltd, Senetas Corporation Ltd, the Medical Research Commercialisation Fund Pty Ltd, and free-market think-tank, the Institute of Public Affairs. He is also a director of the NSW Treasury Corporation. Alan worked at Macquarie Bank in various executive roles from 1999 to 2005 and was a Member of the Victorian Parliament for a period of 14 years prior to this, serving as Treasurer of Victoria and Minister for IT and Multimedia between 1992 and 1999.

David Heaney - Non-executive Director
David has more than 38 years’ experience in banking and corporate finance gained with the National Australia Bank Limited and subsidiary companies. He held several senior management positions in Australia and the United States, before retiring in August 1999. He is currently an executive director of Thompson Partners Pty Limited, a consulting company, and a non-executive director of Colorpak Limited and Cyclopharm Limited.
